FVWS Exhibition at the Reach Gallery / Museum

 

The Fraser Valley Watermedia Society (FVWS), in partnership

with The Reach, are holding an exhibition of paintings from
November 7, 2019 to  January 7, 2020

reflecting the theme, “Visions of Abbotsford”.

The Reach hosted an acrylic painting workshop by Perry Haddock on November 8th which was organized by the FVWS. Perry is a widely recognized artist and teacher. This workshops was open to the public as well as for the FVWS.

The FVWS advocates and supports the arts in our community. As part of the

outreach of the FVWS, some paintings from the “Adult and Teen Challenge for BC”

community in Abbotsford will be included the exhibition.

 

Paintings will be for sale. Persons wishing to purchase a piece of art

are asked to contact the artist directly.

 

The FVWS, in conjunction with the Abbotsford Arts Council, is committed to

supporting creative relationships within the community. The FVWS has over

fifty members who display original artwork throughout the Fraser Valley at

various times and places. Members work to build awareness of local art and

the importance of art in our daily lives. Members participate in various cultural

events such as the Berry Festival and AgriFair.
